Care for Children China Earthquake AppealWe have launched an appeal in response to the deadly earthquake that rocked south western China on 12th May 2008. Care for Children works in partnership with the Sichuan and Chengdu Civil Affairs government for disadvantaged children in: Chengdu, Guangyuan, Deyang, Zamtang, Maoxian, Neijiang, Zigong, Bazhong, Mianyang and Yibin all in Sichuan Province plus the city Chongqing. We have heard from our project worker in Chengdu, Mrs Tang Yi Su and there were no fatalities in the Chengdu orphanage all the children were evacuated safely, we are waiting for more news about other projects closer to the epicentre many of our families are still missing.
